A Land Now Lost

In the valley of the rolling hills, A little creek by which to lie, Bountiful fruits and nuts, Never caring as the days go by.
Each day the essence is pure, As earth should be free, Before industry dawned the day, Before the metal enemy.
The trees stretch before the skies, No blades to stunt their growth, The grass is a healthy green, It holds a never-ending oath.
In the mornings animals awake to rain, In the evenings they slip into sleep, This life for them is untainted, It is the way humans forgot to keep.
